Answers to Your Questions

1. Why are your surveillance systems better than other camera systems?

Our systems utilize proprietary software that enables the user to manually control the system cameras as well as utilize our custom software that automatically commands the cameras to act on predefined triggers. Our cameras are high quality, high resolution video surveillance cameras that use only the finest optical lenses, allowing our systems to achieve true 26x optical zoom. In addition, our programmers have minimized your time sifting through countless hours of video trying to find the event you need. You can simply do a search for dates, times, or trigger events to located the specific video evidence you need.

2. How can I get a better feel for what your camera systems do?

6. What services do you provide beyond the initial install of the I2C system?

I2C Technologies will provide a full line of technical support for your I2C Surveillance system. We will actively monitor your system to ensure that it is there for you when you need it. I2C will also provide expert testimony in a courtroom setting regarding your I2C system if you should ever need it. We will assist you in any way we can.

7. You mentioned that your PTZ cameras have 26x optical zoom. What is the difference between optical zoom and digital zoom?

Optical zoom uses the camera lense to draw the image closer. Quality remains the same and the full resolution of the camera can be used on the zoomed image. Optical zoom uses the same functions as a magnifying glass, or binoculars. Even while magnified, the image retains full quality.

Digital zoom simply enlarges the image, not using the camera's optical lense to draw the image in. With digital zoom comes pixelation, degredation, and overall reduced image quality. Digital zoom funtions can be performed on any home PC with graphic editing software.

The bottom line is that you want your systems to focus on Optical zoom quality, and leave the digital zoom behind.

8. Your camera systems have great applications for the business world. Would you be willing to configure a system for home use?

Absolutely. Not only are these the best solution for your business needs, but can also be a very effective way to monitor your personal assets. Just think. You can monitor your children while you are at work. You can make sure the baby-sitter is doing what she should. You can watch over your home while you are on vacation...the possibilities are endless.

9. Can I truly view my camera system from anywhere in the world?

YES YOU CAN. You have that ability as long as you are using an internet enabled device. A PC with an internet connection, a pocket PC, cell phone, Smart Phone...the possibilites are endless. You will never be without the ability to monitor your business again...anytime, anywhere.

10. Do I have to install my systems after I purchase them from you?

No. I2C will send out highly trained technicians to install and configure the systems for you, ensuring that your systems will maximize their capabilities. This is a standard when purchasing a system.

11. What is included in a typical purchase?

A standard purchase will give you a specified number of high resolution Pan, Tilt, Zoom (PTZ) cameras as well as an I2C server tower that hosts our proprietary software, the brains of the system. These systems then have the ability to connect to special I2C servers to preserve archives off-site, further preserving your digital evidence.

12. Is an I2C Server included with every purchase?

No, a server is not a mandated purchase. I2C offers several packages that fit your budget and your needs. Although you are not required to purchase the I2C server to utilize our high quality cameras, we strongly recommend that you purchase the server to fully utilize the camera system. The server runs our cutting edge software, the heart of the I2C Surveillance System.

13. What is the difference of video quality between video viewed live on the internet versus viewing video locally from within my business?

Video viewed locally at your business will be at a high frame rate (30 frames per second) giving your full motion video. Watching video live from your camera across the internet reduces the frame rate, thus creating a slightly choppy effect as you are watching it. The frame rate that you view is proportional to the speed of your internet connection. KEEP IN MIND that although the video may appear slightly choppy as you watch it LIVE on the internet, the video isSTILL BEING RECORDED AT THE HIGH FRAME RATE on your I2C server. This means that your video evidence is still being recorded at the high quality rate that you have come to expect from I2C Technologies
